The results are in: the 39th annual UBBC Alternative Christmas Fair raised $43, 401 for 29 non-profits! Thank you for helping make this year’s entirely online Fair a huge success! Please come back next December for our 40th annual Alternative Christmas Fair, which will coincide with UBBC’s 100th Anniversary!

The Alternative Christmas Fair has for 39 years given local, national, and international charities the opportunity to raise funds in a group setting. Fairgoers learn about the charities and can make one payment to cover multiple donations and receive gift cards to notify honorees of the gifts made in their names. All charitable donations go directly to the charities.
The 39th annual Fair kicked off on December 5th with a special edition of UBBC’s Adult Forum featuring representatives from our four newest charities: the Centre Region Down Syndrome Society, the Dyslexia Reading Center of Central PA, the Pennsylvania Prison Society (Central PA Chapter), and Ten Thousand Villages. This event was followed by a two-week period in which we were open to receive your gifts and pass them along to our 29 deserving charities.
The 2020 Fair raised $43,575 for thirty charities, the highest amount ever raised for the largest number of charities, in spite of the fact that it ran entirely online because of Covid-19! The 2021 Fair came very close to matching that amount, while still online and almost two years into a devastating pandemic. Now we look forward to our 100th year as a church and our 40th as a Fair.
