The Alternative Christmas Fair has for 37 years been an annual event which gives local, national, and international charities the opportunity to raise funds in a group setting, and visitors to the Fair the chance to learn about those charities. Fair goers can make one payment to cover multiple donations and receive gift cards to notify honorees of the gifts made in their names. They can also enjoy delicious homemade food in a festive atmosphere. All charitable donations go directly to the charities, and all profits from food sales go toward the cost of running for next year’s Fair. The 2019 Fair raised over $40,000 for the charities!
Because of the pandemic, our 38th year will have to be different. We want and need to continue to support the charities, but we can’t do it in person. So instead we will be hosting an online forum in which representatives of some of the charities can talk to us about the challenges of providing much needed services in the midst of a pandemic. Please join us on Sunday December 6 at 10:30am to learn more and then give generously here.
