The Art of Closing Doors – Galatians 5:16-26
The celebrated “gifts of the spirit” passage in Galatians is familiar to anyone who grew up going to Sunday School. This section is often treated as a moral imperative – what we must do to be right with God. But there is another way to hear it. The qualities described are all very concrete, and have to do with the way we interact with the world around us, on an everyday basis. They have to do with the way we “touch the world”.
