If you are needing a more contemplative style of worship, Taizé worship may provide it. Our faith begins and ends in worship; yet so often there is little opportunity for corporate quiet, for reflection, for focusing in on the God who speaks to us in the silence of our hearts. Patterned after the Taizé community in France, contemplative worship includes repetitive, meditative congregational singing of simple, beautiful hymns, with subtle accompaniment by instruments including guitar, piano, flute and violins. Moments of prayer, scripture and silence provides us with the essential ingredients of time and space; to discover more about ourselves and others, and above all to discover the God who comes and addresses us at the core of our being.
