Mentors and Saints, Get Up!
While we know there were other women named as followers of Jesus, Tabitha holds the distinction of being the only female named as a disciple in the New Testament. She was known to be devoted to good works and acts of charity. Her story gives us some clues about the kind of service she provided. Today we might call her a “saint”, and we certainly might view her as a mentor today. Who are the saints and mentors in your life? How do we keep their witness alive?
